AWEBER.com

The AWeber site is business-like and kicks off with reasons why you should use their service.
These include:
- Unlimited campaigns, newsletters and follow-ups
- 99.34% reliable and fast delivery
- 51+ HTML templates for your newsletters
- Easily created opt-in subscribe forms to display on your website
- Free training guides and videos
- Unlimited free customer support
They also offer a free months test drive which you can sign up for. This gives you time to check out
what AWeber can do and explore its features. However, there is no option to continue on a free basis as with some other
autoresponders. Once your free month is up you need to opt for one of the payment plans. If you've already discovered the
benefits of setting up your own newsletter or ezine you will most likely find the charges quite reasonable.

When you visit the AWeber website you will want to check out the 'Features' page by clicking the tab at
the top of the screen. You'll find a mind-boggling array of features, far too many to include them all here, but I'll give
you a taster:
- Unlimited autoresponders and messages
- Pre-designed templates
- Easy web form generator for collecting subscribers e-mail addresses. You can collect an assortment
of other information from your subscriber, like their mail address, geographical location, and much more. It has to be said,
though, that current thinking is that you aim to make it as easy and quick as possible for people to sign up, otherwise you
might put them off and have them click away. But there may be other applications where you could reasonably include the kind
of information you want
- Automated tracking of embedded links in your newsletter or ezine
- Personalise your messages with their name, date and other information you may have got from
them
- Messages can be of any length and you can include attachments like e-books and
PDFs
- Easy PayPal and shopping cart integration
- The system can also capture their IP address and website address of where they came from, plus
things like country of orogin, state, city, postal code, lattitude and longitude(!). How exactly this happens I haven't yet
found out. It can't be entirely by building this into the sign-up form as logic suggests that very few people have their
lattitude and longitude references easily to hand. When I've got to the bottom of this I'll update this
review
- You can opt to have a double opt-in system, which many would say is advisable as it helps to
reduce any likelihood of spamming accusations
There is much, much more so Click Here to check it all out.
Under the 'Features' tab you will also find a link to the 'Demo' tour, which is well worth looking at,
but do allow a certain amount of time as it is quite comprehensive.
I can say that their support and back-up is excellent. When you sign up for the Test Drive, if you live
in the States, I am told you receive a 'phone call welcoming you to AWeber! I live in the UK and much to my surprise, I received
a letter of welcome by snail mail. How many other online operations go to these lengths? This is an indication that these people
care about their customers.
The site also sports a Knowledge Base, articles and video tutorials. Recommended -
AWeber.
GETRESPONSE.COM

Getresponse present an attractive web site and waste no time in getting down to business with what they
offer the webmaster looking for an autoresponder service. Here's what they say you can use Getresponse
for:
- Increase your revenues
- Build your mailing list
- Deliver your newsletters
- Track your results
- Build traffic to your blog
They offer a free version, from which you can upgrade to a paid version at any time without loosing
anything you have created in the free version. Remember, though, that the free version has adverts along with your message. The
paid version doesn't. Most free autoresponders work on this principal as they have to fund the service somehow - unless the
provider is a philanthropic millionaire - and there aren't too many of those about!
Getresponse's free offering is not as feature rich as the paid version, but is still very workable for
the beginner. In fact it's not a bad idea to start with the free one and take your time finding out just how an autoresponder
works and what you can do with it. Then, when you are confident with what you've learnt, upgrade to the paid version. I would say
that if you are serious about making a profit online, then you should be prepared to spend the money and get all the features of
a paid version whether it's Getresponse or any other.
So, what do you get with Getresponse? Quite a lot actually. They have recently (June 06) revamped their
user interface, which is a great improvement, and have added some extra goodies.
They give you unlimited autoresponders (but not with the free version), unlimited messages, broadcasts
(where you send a single message to all your subscribers) and follow-ups. They give you 150+ professionally designed HTML
templates to make your your messages really stand out (you can also send your messages in the usual text form as well). They
offer "Top-notch support and training" and indeed I found their support system very prompt and helpful.
There are three 'Getting Started' videos and a series of User Guides dealing with such topics as 'How
To Set Up A Campaign', 'How To Build and Manage a Subscriber List', 'How To View Your Statistics' and so on.

There is considerable help available to build a list of subscribers, including paying
for 'pre-qualified leads'. A new innovation is their web site building tool called ' WebSite Wizard' which takes
you through a step-by-step series of pages from which you decide what your web site will look like and contain. I
haven't used this myself but it certainly looks intrigueing. You can build your web site free, then when it's to
your liking, you pay a monthly fee to have it go live. Another new idea is an E-book publishing feature so that
you can create an E-book and sell it from links in your newsletter.
The paid version of Getresponse can be paid for monthly, quarterly or yearly. The
yearly price, naturally enough, works out the most economical.
